Irish stags for Irish lads

The Ultimate Edinburgh stag do

Edinburgh is a tour de force on the stag do scene, and not just because it takes it's whiskey very, very seriously. It's got all the class, style and cool that you could hope for on a stag weekend... and yet, as Hogmanay and the Fringe Festival show, it's also a city that really knows how to throw a party. The city is drenched in cool bars, edgy clubs, and enough whiskey to power an entire festival (which it often does). As Roert Louis Stevenson once wrote "Edinburgh is what Paris ought to be" and he knew a thing or too about where to find a good drink.

When you've recovered from any symptoms brought on by "Auld Reekie's" hospitality Edinburgh still has plenty to offer – there are more than 50 different activities around from without even touching on everything the city itself provides. Edinburgh has been a winner of European Destination of the Year and that doesn't generally happen unless you've got something spectacular to offer. Castles, cathedrals and abbeys aside, Edinburgh is a city fit for the king of all stag weekends.

Edinburgh Stag Nights

It's almost impossible to think that a night out in Edinburgh isn't going to result in thousands of stories, anecdotes and laughs along the line. Start off with a trip to the comedy club – or with a comedy roast if you really want to make it a night for the groom to remember. Sports bars, casinos, party buses all can follow... and finish things up with a stop off at one of Edinburgh's top nightclub or lap dancing venues.

Because 12 years experience in the stag do business means we can throw your best mate a send off like no one else. We've got unparalleled access to the hottest nightclubs, to the most exhilarating activities, to the most best hotels… or to the most welcoming hostels. And after 12 years we have also built up great relationships which means special prices we can pass on to you.

Booking with an ABTA accredited company gives you a level of protection that can't be achieved by yourself, and going solo doesn't give you 24 hour support from a trained account manager either. And contrary to costing you more, chances are we'll actually save you money. Having sent over 450,000 stag parties out, we've got fantastic links with the providers and hoteliers, enabling us to negotiate discounts and offers on your behalf. All you have to do is give us a call to get the ball rolling!

What's Hot

There is a lot to keep you busy in Edinburgh – and we mean a lot. Culture buffs can get their fill up at Edinburgh Castle, or there's plenty of other historic sites to take in on the Royal Mile while the rest of you are stopping in the pubs and buying 'tablet'. Gore fiends will be pleased to hear that Edinburgh is one of the most haunted cities in the world, and might want to check out Greyfriars Kirkyard, the Edinburgh Dungeons, or Southbank Vaults... sceptics might want to stay clear. Sports fans, of course, should head straight to Murrayfield.

If you want the whole city to be celebrating with you and your mates, you're in luck. Hogmanay is one of the biggest New Years celebrations in the world, Burns Night is celebrated with whiskey, haggis, neeps and tatties, Beltane involves a lot of fire and drumming, and, of course, there's the legendary Edinburgh Fringe Festival to contend with too.

Getting there...

It's possible to fly in to Edinburgh, and, while expensive, it's probably the quickest and easiest way of getting to Scotland. Belfast and Dublin both have lines flying direct to the city, with budget airlines like Ryanair as well as Aer Lingus. Buses run from the city centre to the airport frequently. Coaches don't run from Ireland to Scotland; changes at London would be necessary. In any case, it's a long journey, and very expensive, so look in to all the alternatives first. If you're thinking of driving, from Belfast a ferry to Troon is probably your best bet, before heading towards Glasgow and then along the M8. From Dublin, either head through Belfast first, or get the ferry to Wales and drive very, very north.

Once you're in the city, getting around primarily on foot shouldn't be a problem. Cars should be avoided if possible, since the city is nearly as congested as London.
